BioPart of the Zero series created by Nagisa Sagan, Natsuo is paired with his Sacrifice Youji. As Zero, they cannot feel pain, heat or cold. The Zero series were sent by Nagisa to defeat Loveless, or rather Loveless's Fighter Soubi Agatsuma(Beloved). After their defeat, the two were taken in by Soubi and his friend Kio. Although the Zero series were created with the ability to change partner's, these two are more than a pair, almost inseperable as two people can be, even to the point of their individuality. There is never a Natsuo without Youji, nor a Youji without Natsuo.
Natsuo can look very feminine, no thanks to Nagisa's love of placing them in rather girly outfits. With eachother, the pair can seem almost sickeningly cute, but underneath is a harsh sadism, provoked by their inability to feel any pain. Natsuo is the more friendly of the pair, off-setting Youji's coldness with his own smiles, even if he is smiling at someone elses pain.
